Training Program Manager- Remote

Stake Center Locating is an industry leader in underground utility damage prevention. We are evolving our training ecosystem to build strong leaders, elevate field performance, and support consistent execution across the STL footprint. The Training Program Manager will play a vital role in this transformation by optimizing our training programs, driving execution and empowering our workforce in alignment with our department and company strategies and vision.

The Training Program Manager is responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of Stake Center’s enterprise training programs. This role partners with the Senior Director of Training to facilitate leadership development programs and create a culture of continuous coaching and feedback. This role partners closely with Operations, support departments and the curriculum design team, to ensure training supports quality production in the field, meets compliance standards, and empowers our frontline team. The Training Program Manager will lead a team of Field Trainers to deliver effective field onboarding and training to drive consistent standards across regions.

This position blends program development, content organization, training operations, and coaching, with a strong field-forward mindset. The position requires 50% travel.

Workforce Development

  • Collaborate on the development, organization, and standardization of all enterprise training content including onboarding, technical locating, safety, quality, leadership, and critical thinking
  • Coach and develop Field Trainers to elevate their effectiveness as facilitators, field coaches, and cultural change agents
  • Partner with content developers and subject-matter experts to build engaging eLearning, instructor-led training, simulations, and field-based learning
  • Ensure all training programs are aligned to common organizational goals including damage prevention, safety performance, retention, quality-production, and leadership
  • Evaluate and refresh training content to remain current with industry standards, technology, and regulatory changes
  • Use data and feedback loops to continuously improve program effectiveness Operational Partnerships
  • Maintain strong partnerships across the organization to ensure training supports field performance and varied initiatives
  • Ensure leadership and coaching programs directly reinforce Stake Center’s safety culture, quality-production expectations, and damage prevention initiatives
  • Participate in field observations, leadership ride-alongs, and regional reviews to assess program effectiveness and real-time needs
  • Champion emotional intelligence, change leadership, and performance coaching throughout the organization
  • Support damage prevention and safety initiatives through identifying targeted retraining needs, process improvements, and consistent messaging

Continuous Improvement Efforts

  • Provide program-level reporting and insights to the Senior Director of Training to support enterprise decision-making
  • Conduct quality checks on training sessions, certifications, and training-to operations release
  • Lead continuous improvement cycles on content, delivery, assessments, and training operations
  • Support the readiness, development, and effectiveness of training team members through regular coaching and structured feedback

Culture, Change & Communication

  • Serve as a champion for Stake Center’s learning culture and leadership values
  • Lead training-driven change initiatives that support organizational growth and performance transformation
  • Ensure consistent communication, expectations, and standards across Training, Operations, and Support Teams
  • Model strong coaching presence, executive communication skills, and change agility

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Leadership, Education, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Highly effective facilitator, communicator, and stakeholder partner
  • 5+ years’ experience in coaching, leadership development, training program management, content development or organizational development
  • Experience designing and delivering leadership and coaching programs at scale
  • High emotional intelligence and change leadership capability
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, behavior change, and performance coaching
  • Proven ability to align learning programs to business strategy and measurable performance outcomes
  • Utility locating, field operations, or industrial safety experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and delivering high potential programs, leadership pipelines, and succession development programs
  • Effective in technical writing and resource development processes
  • Background in content development (eLearning, ILT, simulations, microlearning) ? Familiarity with LMS platforms, blended learning ecosystems, and data analytics
  • Demonstrated success improving retention, engagement, leadership effectiveness, and safety outcomes
